My Gardie.
Darling Husband.
Yours of the
22d I received this noon thank you.
I am glad to here that you have got
you a nag and that you names him
“Charly.” how does he look is he pretty,
you must feed him sugar to make
him like you. If I should come
down there would I want to get
me a riding dress, or would I not
ride horse back. please tell me, and if
I am to get one, please tell me what color
you had rather I would have blue,
green, drab or black. green is worn
here a great deal this summer.
You ask me if I have a Photograph of
your “Holly” and want me to send it to
you. I sent two in a letter immediately
after you wrote for it before, but for fear
you did not get them will put another in
this. I hope you will get it, for I do not
know what I should do if I could not
have yours to look at. I think every thing of
that large one because it is where I can
see it nearly all the time.
I went to the depot and back to night with
Sarah and had a very plesant ride.
The fire last night was C. C. Comstock’s dry-
killns, I believe it was put out before it did
any particular damage.
Sunday morning. There was another fire
in the night. about one oclock this
morning I woke up and the bells were
all ringing dreadfull fast. I have not
heard yet where it was. but I thought
by the looks of the blaze that it might
be out the plank about as far as
Blakeleys or Uncle Leonard’s.
I guess I will go to church to day I
do not like to stay here alone, how I wish
you was here or I was with you. I do not
know as I care much which.
Accept this with love & kisses.
My Boy.
Your Wify.
