Although I wrote
you last evening after receiving yours
of the 25
th will write again. I think
it strange you had not heard from me
I wrote you from Detroit and sent it by Mr.
Brewer and a book. which I supposed he
would deliver and I have written many times
since coming to Washington. We have
received a Circular from Corps H’d. qrs.
saying that the order in relation to mus-
tering out of men in Rendezvous would
not apply to the 1
st Army Corps, my pay
now amounts to
to one hundred and

sixty-four per month if I get Adjutant
pay, or ten less if I dont. Please enquire
of Brewer for the book
since coming here I have got two blankets
of one of the men I enlisted B. C. Gardner
and if he wishes want you to give his wife
two if she should call for them. He was
going to send them home. she lives in Grand
Rapids. they are as good as our best ones.
Dont get homesick sis. after we get some
what settled you will be ordered to report
