Yours of the 4th I have just received thank you for that present. it is real pretty I wear stand up collars now think I shall change again soon I am glad that you were not badly bored the fourth. You think my broken head ought to be good for [ ? ] days. “Vary good” though my head is not level yet. I send you a piece of what was used in tying Mrs. Sueratt when she was hung. the wide strip was tied above her hips the other was around her hands. I send you the chronicle with a full account of the execution. I have received an Order to be mustered to morrow. It is expected that we will leave here this week some say we are going to Frederick Maryland and some to Baltimore. go when we will we shall have better quarters than here.
