I think two months a long time not to hear from you but if you dont want to hear from us just say so and I wont write but want you to write any way we are all well as usual school finished yesterday I think we had a good school at ought to be we have to pay over seventy dollars for the teachers board and all for three months we have had a hard thaw about two weeks ago had no good sleighing since I have not been in a sleigh this winter but if it comes good sleighing again Epraim read I talk of going to P[ ? ] and Rundolph I have not see Sarah for more than a year Leonard came home wednesday went back saturday he staid not been at home for three months he is training I guess he works pretty steady but dont think he will lay up much while he stays in [ ? ] I suppose you know the places we hear from Capt Parker occasionally he in Brooklyn NY he is Capt of the port of Policemen he went through [ ? ] last fall Leonard saw him and rode with in the cars to st [ ? ] I think he was anxious Parker should get him a place on cars as fireman Parker writes he thinks he can get him a situation the middle of may I dont like the idea of his going on the Railroad but perhaps it will be as well as any where he seems bent upon it we cant [ ? ] him well I suppose you have heard of Alonso Stowel marriage he was married last Dec I have not see his wife but report says She is a very good woman she is one day older than Mary I have not much news. Mrs Maria Green has got a little gran boy it weighes six pounds please give my love to all enquiring friends take good care of baby but dont spoil her give her as many kisses for me as you are mind too. accept my love and write soon from your unworthy Mother G B and M Clark George K K & Whittlesey
