My Own Loved Gardner
Although
I had but one letter from you
last week I know you thought of
me just as often, and would have
written if you could and per-
haps you did. I will think so
any way.
It rained nearly
all night last night and most
of the forenoon but it has
cleared off now and is more
pleasant for the rain. It is
almost sun down and is very
pleasant how I wish you were
here.
I have not heard from Mary
since she went away but look for
a letter from her every day. I am
very sorry she does not live nearer
here and hope she will come back
to school this summer.
We have got
moved at last and I like the
change very much. When Linda is
here it only wants lone person
that is far away, to make it
look a little like old times. She
talks some of going back home
next week but I guess she will
not for we will not let her.
I
have not seen Cousin Marria since
I come home from Uncle Ebers. but
Mr. Fisk was here to day and he
said she was up to Uncle John’s
and was comeing here the first
of this week.
Orman was down this other day
and he said Uncle Eber had
the ague and was
[ ? ] y. they
think he has been
[ ? ] y at times
all winter.
Miss Bushe has gone
to New York to teach, and we
expect a new teacher in her place
this week. I hope she will be as good
a teach as Miss B was. Mr.
Demforth is at school most of
the time now but I never speak
to him.
I cannot think of any
thing to write and for that
reason I guess I shall have
to stop.
Ever Your Mary.
A kiss.
