My dear Davidson
Yours of 19th rec’d
Take quick’s deed as it is in
my name. Assign one of my mort-
gages to the Dr or collateral se-
curity for the $75. you pay for
the quick lot. The assignment
need not be recorded. We are
to leave here Friday for Louis-
ville. Will go over the Central
R.R. to Michigan City. Three
or four of our Co’s will leave
Friday three or four Saturday
and so on until all our Reg’t
is off. We can not all go on
one train with our horses and
baggage. I do not know the
day our Co will go. You had
better come down Wednesday if
you can. I have not seen Jot
since I read yours, so do not
know whether he will have vis-
itors or not. Wm J’s house will
be empty so there will be plen-
ty of room for you in any care.
Be sure to come. I will then
talk over affairs with you.
I have not time to write
more. We are kept too busy.
I received the sword.
Yours affecly
R. Burns
