was glad to hear from you
and hear that were enjoying
health. I am getting along
very well now. I am wounded
in the right breast. I have
no use of my right hand
or arm. I am in a hospital
situated just out of the
citty of Washington.
it is
a plesant place although it
is full of sick and wounded
soldiers. the wether here
is quite cool for the time
of the year. I have been
most well once. I applied
for a furlow while it
was being made out
some thing got in my
wound and it broke out
again. My furlow lays
now in the hospital
office. I presume I will
get it as soon as I get
able to ride home.
You must excuse me for
