Bro & Sister.
An orderly has
just passed through the camp
giving notice that the mail would
leave camp in one hour which is the
first time since the 6
th of Feb
& every Soldier has droped every thing
& doing his best to communicate
something to friends in
distant homes. We have not received
any mail since the 7
th of Feb but are
expecting a large one we open comm-
unication. Our army took possession
of this town yesterday & are expect
-ing to leave to morrow. Hiram
Soules Martin Francis Geo Richardson
are sick in the Ambulance
train. those that were left at
sisters Ferry & sent back have
not been heard from
[ ? ] Fletcher & Frank Can-
Hyning are well. I have
not been very well for the
past four days, but nothing
serious. will write again
