About the Author
At the age of 23, Private Charles Wright enlisted in the 3rd Michigan Infantry Company A on May 13, 1861 at Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was mustered into service on June 10. On February 4, 1864, Wright re-enlisted at Grand Rapids, Michigan and was promoted to Corporal. He was transferred from the 3rd Michigan Infantry to the 5th Michigan Infantry Company A on June 10. Charles Wright was discharged on July 5, 1865 at Jeffersonville, Indiana.Documents for this Author:
