Benjamin S. Wilcox, of Girard, Michigan, enlisted in the 19th Michigan Infantry Company C as a Private on August 9, 1862 at Coldwater, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 18 on September 5. Benjamin S. Wilcox was discharged from service on February 1, 1863 at Louisville, Kentucky.
