About the Author

At the age of 31, Corporal Timothy O. Webster, of Detroit, Michigan, enlisted in the 24th Michigan Infantry Company F on July 24, 1862. He was mustered into service on August 15. Timothy O. Webster died on June 18, 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia.
