About the Author
Harrison N. Thropp was residing in Owosso, Michigan when he enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant in the 6th Michigan Cavalry Company G on August 29, 1862. He was mustered into service at the age of 26 on October 11. On March 16, 1863, he was promoted to Captain of Company K. Thropp then went on to lead Company K at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on July 1 through July 3. Harrison N. Thropp was discharged for disability on July 10, 1864.Documents for this Author:
