About the Author
Charles H. Tanner enlisted as a Private in the 6th Michigan Cavalry Company C on January 11, 1864 at Carmel, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 19 on January 25. On November 17, 1865, Tanner was transferred from the 6th Michigan Cavalry to the 1st Michigan Cavalry Company F. Charles H. Tanner was discharged on March 25, 1866 at Fort Bridger, Utah.Documents for this Author:
