Harvey D. Stewart, of Ontonagon County, Michigan, enlisted in the 16th Michigan Infantry Company A as a Private on August 3, 1861. He was mustered into service at the age of 24 on September 7. Stewart was listed as wounded on July 13, 1864 during the Shenandoah Valley Campaign. Harvey D. Stewart was discharged from service on September 7 at Petersburg, Virginia.Documents for this Author:
