Frederick Shipp enlisted as a Private in the 8th Michigan Infantry Company E on September 16, 1864 at Lansing, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 18 that same day. Frederick Shipp was discharged from service on June 1, 1865 at Washington, D.C. He lived in Lansing, Michigan after the war.Documents for this Author:
