About the Author
Jesse M. Roberts, of Beetown, Wisconsin, enlisted in the 7th Wisconsin Infantry Company F on August 19, 1861. He was mustered into service as a Corporal that same day and was later promoted to Sergeant. Roberts was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on December 13, 1864. He was listed as being wounded in his abdomen on April 1, 1865 at Five Forks, Virginia. Jesse M. Roberts was discharged for wounds on June 1.Documents for this Author:
