Clinton F. Norris was residing in Cambria, Michigan when he enlisted in the 18th Michigan Infantry on August 1, 1862 at Hillsdale, Michigan. He was mustered into Company D as a 26-year old Private on August 26. Norris was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant of Company C on April 23, 1865. Clinton F.
