About the Author
Private George W. Nevins, of Tafton, Wisconsin, enlisted in the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Company C as a Private on April 22, 1861. He was mustered into service that same day. On August 28, 1862, Nevins was wounded at Gainesville, Virginia. George W. Nevins was discharged for disability on March 21, 1863.Documents for this Author:
