About the Author
Marcus H. Miles was residing in St. Clair County, Michigan when he enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant in the 11th Michigan Cavalry on August 21, 1863. He was mustered into Field and Staff on September 18. On June 15, 1865, Miles was transferred from Field and Staff to Company D. He was later transferred from the 11th Michigan Cavalry to the 8th Michigan Cavalry on July 20. Marcus H. Miles was discharged from service on September 22 at Nashville, Tennessee.Documents for this Author:
