About the Author
Sylvester Kimball, of Eaton County, Michigan, enlisted in the 6th Michigan Infantry Company H as a Corporal on August 9, 1861 at Charlotte, Michigan. At the age of 25, he was mustered into service on August 20. Sylvester Kimball died of disease on August 21, 1863 at Port Hudson, Louisiana.Documents for this Author:
