About the Author
James M. Hollister, of Utica, Michigan, enlisted in the Michigan Lancer’s Company H on December 10, 1861. He was mustered into service as a Private on January 3, 1862 at the age of 20. On February 28, Hollister was transferred from the Michigan Lancer’s to the 16th Michigan Infantry Company I. James M. Hollister was discharged for disability on December 11.Documents for this Author:
