About the Author

Lovinus A. Hall enlisted as a Private in the 7th Michigan Cavalry Company I on September 1, 1864 at Jackson, Michigan. He was mustered into service that same day at the age of 32. Lovinus A. Hall died of disease on June 13, 1865 at Washington, D.C. and is buried at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
