About the Author
Frank Graves, of Niles, Michigan, enlisted in the 8th Michigan Infantry Field and Staff on August 18, 1861 at Detroit, Michigan. He was mustered into service as a 26 year old Lieutenant Colonel on September 23. Graves was promoted to Colonel on May 1, 1863. Frank Graves was killed in action on May 6, 1864 at Wilderness, Virginia.Documents for this Author:
