About the Author
Thaddeus Foote, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, enlisted in the 6th Michigan Cavalry Field and Staff on September 9, 1862 at Grand Rapids. He was mustered into service as a 40-year old Major on October 13. Foote was discharged for promotion to Colonel of the 10th Michigan Cavalry on November 10, 1863. Thaddeus Foote was discharged for disability on July 25, 1864. He died in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 3, 1903.Documents for this Author:
