About the Author
Residing in Armada, Michigan, Captain Crawley P. Dake enlisted in the 5th Michigan Cavalry Company E on August 27, 1862. He was mustered into service that same day at the age of 26. On December 31, Dake was transferred from Company E to Field and Staff and promoted to Major. Crawley P. Dake resigned on August 9, 1864. He was buried at Prescott Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.Documents for this Author:
