About the Author
Jonathan Confer, of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the 11 Pennsylvania Infantry Company B as a Private on September 10, 1861. He was mustered into service that same day and was later promoted to Corporal. Confer was listed as being wounded on August 30, 1862 at the 2nd Battle of Bull Run in Virginia. On May 31, 1865, he was promoted to Sergeant. Jonathan Confer was discharged from service on July 1 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.Documents for this Author:
