About the Author
Residing in Cottrellville, Michigan, Captain Henry Carlton enlisted at the age of 30 in the 22nd Michigan Infantry Company E on August 22, 1862 at Detroit, Michigan. He was mustered into service that same day. On June 6, 1863, Henry Carlton was accidentally killed in a railroad accident at Stewart’s Creek, Tennessee, while he was in charge of a train guard.Documents for this Author:
