About the Author
William H. Brown, of Branch County, Michigan, enlisted as a Private in the 1st Michigan Light Artillery Batty F on October 15, 1861. He was mustered into service on January 9, 1862 at the age of 32. On December 5, Brown was promoted to 2nd Senior Lieutenant. William H. Brown resigned from service on March 15, 1864.Documents for this Author:
