Beardslee, Clark H.

About the Author

Born on December 17, 1845 in Marshall, Michigan, Clark H. Beardslee was residing in Sheridan, Michigan when he enlisted in the 7th Michigan Cavalry Company F on December 30, 1862. He was mustered into service at the age of 18 on January 23, 1863 as a Private. On July 14, Beardslee was listed as being wounded in his right thigh at Falling Waters, Maryland. At Cold Harbor, Virginia on May 30, 1864, he was wounded in the right leg just below his knee. He was also listed as a prisoner of war on June 11 at Trevillian Station, Virginia. Clark H. Beardslee was discharged from service on November 21, 1865 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He lived in Marcellus, Michigan after the war.
