Capt LaPoint one
of the quartermasters of your brigade, took
from us at Marietta Ga, as the army
left that point, a splendid mule
which did not belong to the govern-
ment, but which we had owned
for some time, as a means of sen-
ding newspapers to the camps, by
newsboys from Marietta. The
Captain remembers and acknowledges
the act. We ask respectfully, that
a voucher be issued us for the
value of the animal. Your attention
will oblige.
