Henry C. VanAtta, of Fentonville, Michigan, enlisted as a Private in the 24th Michigan Infantry Company A on March 24, 1865 at Fenton, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 20 on March 27. Henry C. VanAtta was discharged on June 30 at Detroit, Michigan.
