Wall my Dear frendley wife
i set myself down to write
a few lines to you to let you
know how i am and how i git
a long i am well at present
and hope these few lines
may find you the same
wall Sina we went out
yesterday and had a fite
with the rebs and fel back
last nite and am goin out
this afternnon a gain to
try them a gain we killed
some of them they are 10 thousa
strong and 25 thousan strong
wall our Company was in
the tits but we got out in
a hury i tell you they was on
every side of us but no one hurt
and i think we will some
hun before it is do with but
i think we can clean them
out wall they are fiting
on every side of ous now
and in most parts our
men whip them so no more

any one i wish i was there
to see them and talk over
a lot stores but there is no
