Regiment: 2nd Michigan Cavalry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Murfreesboro Tennessee Nov. 19th 1863 Dear Father Your letter of the 12th has just arrived & I have this moment mailed a letter th the Express Agt at Nashville to have my box stoped there untill farther orders. I think it will get through all right we are on the move now which you see by my adress & we expect to stop some where near Nashville. I will write as soon as we get to our stoping place the talk is now that we are going to Alexandria near Nashville. there was 150 drafted men for our Regt from Mich igan met us here & we have stoped for a day or two to Straiten them out there was none from Calhoun County So our company did not take any of them. we get our pay to morrow if nother happens I shall feel very proud of my box if it gets through safe I shall have to close but be sure & give my best wishes to all those concerned in my box. I received Libbies letter with yours & will answer it tomorrow. I am not very well at present but hope to be soon. write as soon as you get this. Yours Truly, Sgt. C.H. Potter.
