About the Author
Residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Private Henry W. Booth enlisted in the 3rd Michigan Infantry Company D on May 13, 1861 at the age of 21. He was mustered into service on June 10 and later promoted to Musician. On June 10, 1864, Booth was transferred from the 3rd Michigan Infantry to the 5th Michigan Infantry. He was promoted to Hospital Steward and transferred from Company A to Field and Staff on July 13. Henry W. Booth was discharged on July 5, 1865 at Jacksonville, Indiana.Documents for this Author:
