Regiment: 9th Michigan Cavalry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: July the 8 1864 In Camp at Niclausville ky Wall Sina my dear pet this morning finds me with my [chewed away] in hand to write you [chewed away] few lines to let you know i am well and hope these will find you the same in the best kind of helth and doing well Sina it has ben some time sence i have herd from home and the reason is becase my letters go to Camp Nelson yet and i cant git them but i look for on this male from you wall Sina we are in the same old camp her and dont know how long [chewed away] shall stay for we ha[chewed away] orders to go yesterday but did not go so we lay her waiting for orders now and when they come then we will shove out for tall grass way down south in Georgey [chewed away] Sina i will tell you [chewed away] i spent my forth her wall Sina i lay in my tent all day thinking of you and the rest of the folks and just at nite we marched out and was payed off ready to leave the next morning but ant gon yet i sent my pay home by the Captin as far as Cincinnati and ther he will express it home to father so good by Sina for orders [chewed away] come for ous to go [chewed away] will close and sadle up and go Sina write soon good by for now A H Wister to Sina my dear Drect Cincinnati Ohio 9 Mich Cav Co I [On Envelope:] Mrs Lucian [chewed away] Coldwater Mich
