On the first page of the paper you will
find an account of the late attact on this
place of whitch I gave you an account in
a former letter Colonel Campbell of the
2
nd Michigan is now acting Brig. Gen. of our
Brigade and Major Godly formly Captain
isn ow in Command of the Reg. there has been
same new arrangement lately they have been
forming a new army Corps and the whole of
our Brigade is in it it is to be called the reserve
Corps and they say we ar to be sent back to Ky.
if this is the case we will not get a Chance to se
the butternuts so often for a while we as to
be under the Command of Major Gen Garder
