I take this opertunity to write you
afew lines to let you know that
I am well as usual Hoping this
many find you & Net enjoying good
health. I recd a letter from Lewis
Peck dated Feb 16
th He said he had
made up his mind to let me have that
lot at what you told him I would
give for it. I took it by your letter
that he wanted $130 for it. I told you
I would give him 120 dollar for it. If
he will talke $120. I want you to pay
him $25 for me & get a deed for me &
give him a mortgage (to secure his pay)
due in one year after date. I don’t
know exactly how much money I can
send yet we expect to draw our pay
this afternoon. I wrote you aletter the
other day that I would send you $25
well there is a mistake somewhere for I
would not give over $3 per acre for that
lot now (as I said before) If he will take
$120 I want you to pay him $25 down
I will express all the money I can spare
so you can use some but I don’t know
how much yet. John I hope it wont
disappoint you If you can get along
I will send you what you want to use
on our next pay day. But I want
you to get that lot for me anyhow
I am going to send my money what
I get to you all but alittle
for I cant keep money if I have it
in my pocket. If you will get that
buisiness done in my name all right
I will Pay you well for your
trouble well I will stop for the present
& finish after we get our pay:
March 3rd
I will finish this letter we drawed
our pay yesterday I am going
to send 35 dollars so you can
have 10 to use yourself I only had
$40 20cts coming so you see I cant send
only $35 I will send it tomorrow
morning so it will be there the 15 or 16
you pay Lue $25 & give hime mortgage
& take a deed

write my old rpecks to you
& Net take care of yourself &
write soon I will send the money
