Regiment: 1st Michigan Light Artillery Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Feb 1st 1863 Murfreesboro Tennessee Brother John as today is Sunay I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know that I am well as usual and hope these few lines may find you all enjoying good health I have not had a letter from mich since the 21st of Dec I have got tired of waiting so I thought I would send you a few lines: I wrote you one letter since the Battle Well John I want you to see Lewis Peck and see what he asks for that 40 acre lot up to North Branch next to Mr Tosers: and how his terms is I can send 25$ next pay day besides what you want: I will give 120 dollars for it if you cannot get it any less: If you and him can make a bargain and he can give a clear title I will pay the Ballance in 1 year at differ ent times as our pay days dont come regular: I you can tend to it and he and I can make a bargain: I will pay you well for all your trouble John see how cheap he will let it go.
