dear sister I have neglected
to write to you I have been
verry bisey and have not heard
from mary in a long time I suppose
you have heard of William Scott
death he was wounded in the
neck and was gtting a long ifne
and was taken down with the
ague and lived only a week
we have had regular spring
weather here all the time rain
and mud nee deep I want you
to send me your likeness and
I want you to lell larisa
and sam to send me theirs
it was a verry shocking thing
about Robert dying so
verry sudden I was about 3 hund
miles from him I had not
seen him in six weeks before
he died I have been well all
the time no more at presant
