I was at the little entertainment of which the programme is on the opposite page & saw there your wife & various young Bucks & was much delighted to see the family of my good but fun true friend Lyma G. I found also that your kind mention of me had made me almost an old acquaintance of a good many good men & women of Flint such as Judge Avery, Majer George T Clark &c &c Bye the way, how would you like to be one of our little party to night. Who are to meet at Judge Avery’s in an hour or two & spend the evening with a [ ? ] game of Euchre & some of his captal old Rye Whiskey punch? Eh? Would not you warm the cockles of your big old heart & wouldnt we have many a good joke [ ? ] & laugh over our adventures at Beaufort Oh I wish that wishing could bring you here. but it wont I must take an extra hot for you. Tell Capt Lyon “Ly” & all the Flint boys that I have had a thousand enquires from mothers aunts sisters & cousins in regard to them and that if afforded me much pleasure to say that I had seen all the boys within four days & all were well. Dr. Wilson is here & is to be one of our party at the Judge’s to night. The Flint people think of you all with a great deal of fondness & intent I have a great many thing which I would like to write to you but wont I for hear. Give my best love to Capt Lyon, “Ly” & all the boys & tell them to write to me I have not forgotton what you & I spoke of & if is is possible shall [ ? ] Accept much [ ? ] G E Pratt
