Oct. 20 1864 My Dear Aunt Emily Yours of the 16th is now before me + it is with great pleasure that I perused its contents and I am right glad to know that your health is so good. I am well and full of fun as usual it is Sunday and I have been hard at work and have hardley time + spare [  ?  ] you but I made up my mind that I would answer your letter before I forgot it I supose that you all are havening high old times up there about now I do with that I could be up there for the next two weeks to come. He bet that I would make some of them Copperheads sure if they dident keep this [       ?       ] but when we get old Abe in the seat we ___ they will have to let their [  ?  ] li[  ?  ] drop and there let it          untill this thief is settled. I saw us the Nashville [  ?  ] a [          ?          ] asking the soldiers be [  ?  ] and [  ?  ] for little Mc so that if he was electect that they would soon have the [  ?  ] to go home to thier wifes and famlies but I had nother [  ?  ] here untill I spilt every drop of my blood than I have [  ?  ] the [  ?  ] that little [next 3 lines are illegible] Southern states that he has been a cont[  ?  ] for an all of the niggers that be felt so bad about [  ?  ] but let him [  ?  ] if he thinks that there is no here after. I tell you this rebels say that if old Abe is elected that they might just as well lie down their arms and come over for they say that they know that he will not compromise [  ?  ] we dont went [  ?  ] then the Mc men says why dont old Abe give the rebels a chance [  ?  ] come back into the union I think that be [  ?  ] all [  ?  ] that they could ask for I think that if I were old Abe I would send every rebel as a [  ?  ] and [       ?       ] as they [       ?       ] rebeling I dont think that it is right to use them as prisoners of war but as a [  ?  ] or a traitor + their country which they are out then I dont know as for can blame some of them for I have seen old women [          ?          ] how are [      ?      ] untill our men [  ?  ] throught here and then they are so [  ?  ] they dont know B from [       ?       ] nor a from [  ?  ] old dog and half of them dont know [  ?  ] a day is used for but there is no use of talking you [  ?  ] make [  ?  ] of them but rebels [  ?  ] is well and [  ?  ] as an [  ?  ] [  ?  ] close by asking you to pleas write often my love [  ?  ] and all the rest I will [  ?  ] to [  ?  ] as soon as I get time. So here is my love to all and a [                 ?                 ] self. I am still [  ?  ] loveing nephew, George W. Fullington + my best beloved Aunt Emily M. Fullington [  ?  ]
