I have 20 teams
that went to Stevenson
last week & reached that place
about the 25
th ult.
I understand indirectly
that they have not started
from Stevenson but for
what reason I cannot
say. The Wagon Master
in Charge is named Samuel
[ ? ]. A detatchment of the 2
Ohio of 100 men is the Guard or
escort. If for any reason
that the train has not started
is there any way that they should
come than by the Anderson
road over the mountain
Please give my Wagon Master
directions (the team) what to
do. It might be well for Mr Prince
to go to Stevenson & assist in bringing
forward the train & carry
forward any orders you think
best
