Regiment: 4th Michigan Cavalry Battles Mentioned: Historical Figures: Camp Minty Sept 21, 62 My dear Davidson Yours of 19th rec’d Take quick’s deed as it is in my name. Assign one of my mort- gages to the Dr or collateral se- curity for the $75. you pay for the quick lot. The assignment need not be recorded. We are to leave here Friday for Louis- ville. Will go over the Central R.R. to Michigan City. Three or four of our Co’s will leave Friday three or four Saturday and so on until all our Reg’t is off. We can not all go on one train with our horses and baggage. I do not know the day our Co will go. You had better come down Wednesday if you can. I have not seen Jot since I read yours, so do not know whether he will have vis- itors or not. Wm J’s house will be empty so there will be plen- ty of room for you in any care. Be sure to come.
