My dear Davidson
I to-day send you
$430 which you will receive by express
from Detroit. With it I send directions
how to use it. Call at the express office
if you have not already received it.
Write me immediately. On the
last scout my darkey brought in a fine
white horse which he said he had got
for the Cap’n and has bestowed it on
me, so now I have three. He took three
rebel prisoners himself and has in
a general way kept up the reputation
of his marter. Have you heard
lately from Willy? Love to all.
