Dear sister
I received your letter
of the 8
th this morning and
very glad to heer from you
I got a letter from you when we
was at Louisville I have wrote you
this makes four letters since that
we had a battle on the 8
at perrysville I think you will
see the acount of it in the papers
we had one man killed and
6 wounded I think we got
off well we had 15 horses
killed but old jim and bill
is alive yet we are now
in camp six miles south of
Lebnon bill corys brother
was wounded he

from me. the fourth mich ca

we heer that they are
drafting in mich but I
hope it is not so
