About the Author
On May 13, 1861, 2nd Lieutenant Frederick A. Stowe enlisted in the 3rd Michigan Infantry Company B at Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was mustered into service at the age of 27 on June 10, 1861. Stowe was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on January 1, 1862 and then to Captain on October 25. Frederick A. Stowe resigned from service on February 27, 1863 and he lived in Pewamo, Michigan at the end of the war.Documents for this Author:
