About the Author
Hannibal H. Nims, of Lexington, Michigan, enlisted in the 10th Michigan Infantry on October 21, 1861. He was mustered into Company D as a 27-year old 1st Lieutenant on February 6, 1862. Nims was promoted to Captain on July 5. On September 1, 1864, he was listed as being wounded at Jonesboro, Georgia. Hannibal H. Nims died from his wounds on September 3 and is buried in Lexington, Michigan.Documents for this Author:
