About the Author
Milford M. Lattimer, of Jackson County, Michigan, enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant at the age of 28 in the 3rd Michigan Cavalry Company E on August 28, 1861. He was mustered into service on October 2 and was promoted to Captain prior to that on September 7. Lattimer was listed as being wounded on September 19, 1862 at Iuka, Mississippi. Milford M. Lattimer was discharged on October 24, 1864 at Brownsville, Arkansas.Documents for this Author:
