About the Author
At the age of 33, Daniel T. Fargo enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Michigan Cavalry Company F on September 4, 1861 at Greenville, Michigan. He was mustered into service on October 2. Fargo received several promotions including: 1st Lieutenant, July 4, 1862; Captain, October 26; and, Assistant Inspector General, August 15, 1864. He was also listed as being the Acting Assistant Inspector General of the 1st Brigade 1st Cavalry on August 15. Daniel T. Fargo was discharged from service on December 14.Documents for this Author:
