Residing in Berlin, Michigan, 1st Sergeant Marvin H. Creager enlisted in the 2nd Michigan Cavalry Company F on April 30, 1861 at Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was mustered into service on October 2 at the age of 25. He was transferred from Company F to Company I and promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on March 1, 1864. He re-enlisted on March 29 at Mossy Creek, Tennessee. On September 20, Creager was transferred from Company I back to Company F. Marvin H. Creager was promoted to Captain on December 15 and was discharged from service on August 17, 1865 at Macon, Georgia.Documents for this Author:
